"Identity" by The Big Muddy Dance Company
The Big Muddy’s spring concert “IDENTITY” will showcase the work of multifaceted creatives who are trailblazers in their respective artistic communities. The company’s 23-24 season concludes with three programs with world premieres by 2021 Guggenheim Fellow Tommie-Waheed Evans whose work intersects movement vocabulary that blends cultural forms and contemporary dance vocabularies, with narratives that are often rooted in the black experience, and 2022 Princess Grace Award Winning choreographer and director Omar Román de Jesús who uses his work to express the complexities of Latinx identities.

Tour De Dance: The Big Muddy Dance Company
A progressive dining and dance showcase event, featuring intimate dance vignettes from the 23/24 Becoming Season’s repertoire throughout the Grand Center arts district. Each performance is paired with curated eats and cocktails by David Kirkland Catering, giving each audience member an incredibly immersive experience and the chance to see the Walls off Washington mural exhibit, curated by Kranzberg Arts Foundation.

Join The Big Muddy Dance Company for an exhilarating evening of live music and dance at the Stifel Theatre! This collaboration features music performed by the St Louis Symphony Orchestra composed by Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated artist Adam Schoenberg, with choreography by Artistic Director Kirven Douthit-Boyd.
Audition for The Big Muddy Dance Company
The Big Muddy Dance Company is seeking dancers for our upcoming 2024-2025 Season. Attend an in-person audition to be considered for company contracts or admittance to The Big Muddy’s trainee program. TAKING SHAPE: The Big Muddy's Trainee Showcase
In a season focused on Becoming, The Big Muddy Dance Company Trainees present TAKING SHAPE. This concert will feature two world premiere performances choreographed by The Big Muddy’s Rehearsal Director Leonides D. Arpon and St. Louis-based choreographer Emmi Small, as well as the return of “The Song of Sibyl” by Yuka Oba-Muschiana and “Who’s Robbing Who?” by Thomas Proctor.
