SpaceStation Fundraiser: Ephemeral Time Capsule

  • Hope United Church of Christ (map)

Come support Space Station Dance Residency with our annual Fundraising Show that generates a large portion of our operating budget for this season. Space Station Dance Residency is a movement incubator for St. Louis-based creatives. Our residency began in the summer of 2020 and continues to create a safe and welcoming space using dance, movement, and choreography to investigate the human experience. We promote professionals, students, emerging artists, and our audiences to mingle and connect through our tangible and transcendental spaces by encouraging experimentation and conversation stimulated by choreography.

For our 2025 Fundraising Event, we are featuring and evening length work by our Artistic Director, Jacob Henss titled, "E.T.C.-Ephemeral Time Capsule. Alongside this work will be dance icon and University of Illinois Dance Department Head, Sara Hook, who will be performing her latest solo, "Homemade Fish or Jesus was a Mermaid" In addition to this, we have different programming for the performance on 3/28 and 3/29. Josiah Gundersen's trio will perform on 3/28, a work that he developed during Resilience Dance Company's Collective Realities performance. Samanvita Kasthuri will be showing a group work featuring contemporary dance combined with Bharatanatyam, an Indian Classical dance style.

This is our fundraising event, so our ticket prices will be a little higher than normal. If you need any assistance with ticket prices, please email us at spacestationdance@gmail.com.
